Join the Oak Park Runners Club

Join the Oak Park Runners Club (OPRC). Our club is one of the oldest and most active runners' organizations in the Chicago area. Our members are a diverse group - young & not so young, fast & not so fast, recreational runners & competitive racers, joggers & marathoners. However, we share a common enthusiasm for running that's contagious. Our love of the sport, and the camaraderie & support you'll find as an OPRC member, will help make your running more fun and rewarding. Check out the Membership page for more information on how to join.

Winter Wednesday Workouts

Join OPRC for 12 weeks of informal runs on Wednesday nights. Whether you are training for a spring race or just want to run with a group, meet at the Competitive Foot at 6:30 pm.

Runs are 1.3 miles to Lindberg Park. ¾ mile loops on the streets surrounding the park are used for tempo runs, intervals, or just winter running.

Tthese streets are maintained well in winter and do NOT have any completely intersecting streets (only T-intersections). Reflective and blinking lights are suggested.

Begins Wednesday, January 8th and continues until March 26th.

Competitive Foot closing at 6PM on Monday, January 6th

Please note that the Competitive Foot will be closing at 6PM on Monday, January 6th. This means that the Monday Night Fun Run will not have an indoor spot to meet before or after the run. We highly recommend you make alternate running plans.
